Viridien has been selected to carry out a comprehensive remote sensing programme for Minerals Development Oman (MDO), the mining organisation in Oman, aimed at identifying, mapping, and ranking the mineral prospectivity across seven concessions, covering a total of 16,000 km². Following a series of successful remote sensing projects that have supported mineral exploration efforts, Viridien is now proud to contribute to the strategic development of Oman’s mineral resources, spearheaded by MDO.
Viridien’s team of experts will deploy machine learning, high-performance computing, advanced processing algorithms, and a vast archive of multi- and hyperspectral satellite imagery to develop its cutting-edge Bare Earth Plus models. These models will be integrated with structural data, airborne geophysical surveys, and gamma-ray spectrometry to assist MDO in evaluating the mineral potential within the Samail and Masirah Ophiolites.
