ASRock Industrial Computer has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VinCSS Internet Security Services Joint Stock Company (VinCSS), Vietnam-based cybersecurity provider. This strategic partnership is set to enhance IoT security solutions and achieve FIDO Device Onboard (FDO) certification, in response to the growing security demands of the rapidly expanding IoT sector.
The swift proliferation of IoT devices presents substantial security challenges, with IoT-related attacks increasing by 600% between 2016 and 2017. With an estimated 29.42 billion IoT devices by 2030, the need for robust security measures is more pressing than ever. The global IoT security market is projected to reach $20.98 billion by 2028, driven primarily by growth in the Asia Pacific region. The increasing complexity and cost of onboarding these devices underscore the necessity for innovative security solutions.
ASRock Industrial is renowned for its expertise in industrial PC motherboards, edge computing, and a range of industrial products, catering to customers worldwide across the manufacturing, business, and retail sectors. VinCSS has pioneered several world-first FIDO Device Onboarding (FDO) solutions, including FDO-enabled cameras, car park systems, and network deployment solutions, many of which have been successfully commercialised on a global scale.
This collaboration will involve ASRock Industrial and VinCSS conducting joint research and analysis of the current state of FDO and IoT security solutions, sharing insights from their respective security expertise. The partnership will focus on the joint development and implementation of advanced IoT security solutions to meet the growing demands of the sector. By leveraging VinCSS’s extensive experience and ASRock Industrial’s broad resources, the collaboration aims to secure FIDO Device Onboard (FDO) certification, simplifying and securing the IoT device onboarding process.
