Kontron will be showcasing new, secure solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and industrial automation at SPS 2024, taking place from 12-14 November in Nuremberg. As part of the motto “Everywhere. Everywhere Secure. Everywhere Connected.”, Kontron will showcase holistic approaches that meet the growing demands for connectivity and security.
The focus for technologies on show will be on Kontron Mobile Private Networks (MPN) and 4G/5G radio modules for industrial customer solutions. The modules are developed in Germany and produced in Europe.
Kontron offers a range for secure Edge devices with the Linux-based, hardened operating system KontronOS and the IoT device management solution KontronGrid. These solutions support device manufacturers in implementing the NIS2 Directive and ensure maximum security and efficient device management in industrial automation.
With the Kontron susietec toolset, Kontron supports companies in fully exploiting the potential of IoT and digitalisation. The combination of software, hardware and expertise enables equipment suppliers and manufacturers to realise functional and intelligent solutions, for example, through the FabEagleConnect IoT bundle as an IoT gateway for simple interface integration for production machines and systems.
Kontron is presenting a range of new products at SPS 2024, including powerful boards and DIN rail controllers based on the i.MX8M Plus processor. The processor integrates AI into industrial devices and control cabinets and offers computing power of up to 2.3 TOPS with its Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The processor is therefore suited for machine learning and image processing applications. It also supports up to 8GB of RAM and enables advanced multimedia applications such as 4K video and dual-display solutions.
In addition to the new web panels and the KPanel-S for mounting arm installation, Kontron is presenting a new generation of its FlatClient ECO and FlatClient PRO lines in the industrial panel PC sector. These are now available with the latest fanless Intel Atom x7000(R)E Series, Intel Core i3 N-Series & Intel N-Series processors, as well as the 13th generation Intel Core processors from the Kontron Single Board Computer family. The same SBCs can also be found in the well-known KBox A-151 series and support real-time as well as enhanced graphics and AI functionality.
The company is also introducing a number of new products, including the compact KBox A-251, which represents a new class of very small gateways based on the new pITX single board computer with the new Intel Atom Intel Atom x7000 processors. There are also the new KBox B-203/B-204 Box PC products, which provide high-performance support for powerful applications with the 14th generation Intel Core processors.
