Imou launches 2023 Red Dot Award winning 2k wireless Cell Go Smart Security Camera

Imou has introduced the UK launch of its Imou Cell Go Smart Security Camera, a cutting-edge product that provides homeowners and business owners with peace of mind. With its advanced features, including motion detection, 2K night vision from a 2-megapixel camera (3MP QHD Video), large 5000mAh battery and two-way audio, the Cell Go Smart Security Camera is a 100% wire-free rechargeable camera that delivers well-rounded home protection for up to 120 days on one single charge, allowing users to monitor their property from anywhere, at any time. The Imou Cell Go Smart Security Camera is bundled with a solar panel so it never needs to be charged.

Imou is also proud to announce that the Cell Go Smart Security Camera has been awarded the prestigious 2023 Red Dot Award for outstanding product design. The Red Dot Award is one of the most sought-after international accolades for product design, and recognises products that demonstrate exceptional quality, innovation, and functionality. The Cell Go Smart Security Camera was selected as a winner by an expert jury of over 50 design professionals, who evaluated over 8,000 entries from 50 countries.

The Cell Go can be installed in minutes by simply ‘snapping’ it in the yard, kitchen, or living room with a click. If no Wi-Fi is available, the Cell Go can be used as a hotspot to connect directly to a phone, allowing footage to be transmitted even in basements without signal or when using vlog mode (where the camera records continuously to capture family events or wild animals in the garden). With IP65 certified weather resistance, the Cell Go can also easily handle any weather conditions including windy, rainy, and sandy weather and is compatible with Amazon Alexa.

Additional features include two way talk for real time talk with people in front of the camera (which includes a bi-talk option for vulnerable people, disguising a voice to make it sound deeper and stronger to deter intruders), human detection, built-in 4GB eMMC Storage, night vision, built in siren and a DC 5V power supply rechargeable battery that can also be charged using the Imou solar panel if required. The Cell Go also includes a Privacy Mode where it will go to sleep when required.

“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award for our Cell Go Smart Security Camera,” said Imou CEO, Xiongbo Lu. “This recognition is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence in product design. We are constantly pushing the boundaries to create smart security solutions that are intuitive, reliable, and stylish, and this award is a validation of our efforts.”

Cloud storage

The Versa includes a whole year worth of free Cloud storage on Imou Protect, where all event recordings are saved in the Cloud for up to 30 days to be reviewed at any time. Other benefits include Cloud Video History, AI Detection, the ability to download SD card recordings and also to share the device to more users. Following the first year, Basic and Plus plans are available as well as being able to buy an annual 30 days of Cloud storage from Very. IMOU is making users’ data privacy its top priority and strictly follows the industry’s security standards to make sure that data transmissions between devices and the IMOU Cloud is double-encrypted from end to end.

The Cell Go is also available with the Imou solar panel for an extra £20 which can be used to continuously charge the device. It is connected via a cable for a direct power supply, so the battery never needs to be charged again. It can be installed easily in vicinity of the IP camera by screwing it onto the mounting plate. It takes only a few hours of sunlight in order to provide power to the camera continuously.

The Cell Go Smart Security Camera is just one of Imou’s many innovative security solutions, which include smart doorbells, security lights, and indoor cameras. Imou is committed to providing customers with smart security solutions that are easy to use, affordable, and highly effective.
