Winbond Electronics has introduced the W25N01KW, a 1Gb 1.8V QspiNAND flash memory. This latest NAND offering is tailored to meet the growing requirements of wearable and battery-operated IoT devices, featuring low standby power, a compact package, and continuous read capabilities for rapid boot and instant-on functionality.
The W25N01KW flash memory is distinguished by its high-speed read performance, reaching up to 52MB/sec in both Continuous Read and Sequential Read modes. This swift booting capability and instant-on support not only improve energy efficiency but also extend the operational lifespan of devices.
Additionally, it incorporates an advanced deep power-down mode, reducing power consumption to as little as 1µA. The W25N01KW is available in a small form factor, offered in compact WSON8 (8mm x 6mm) and WSON8 (6mm x 5mm) packages. These features ensure ultra-fast access to code and data, prolonged battery life, and a compact design, all contributing to an enhanced user experience across a range of applications.
Winbond stated, “The W25N01KW embodies our dedication to innovation, incorporating cutting-edge design to revolutionise wearable and low-power IoT devices, enabling manufacturers to bring advanced solutions to the market.” It is an ideal choice for energy-efficient devices that require high performance within a compact design.
