ASUS IoT, a provider of AIoT solutions, has announced the launch of the Tinker System 3N, a fanless, Arm-based embedded computer designed for industrial applications, alongside the Tinker Board 3, a compact single-board computer (SBC) featuring a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor with an integrated software-development kit (SDK) for IoT and smart retail uses. Both products have been carefully engineered to meet the diverse demands of various industrial sectors.
Tinker System 3N
The Tinker System 3N, powered by a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor (Rockchip RK3568) and an Arm Mali-G52 GPU, is designed for industrial-grade performance. Built to meet strict US MIL-STD-810H military standards, it offers superior shock and vibration resistance. Its compact 0.79-litre design and extruded aluminium chassis ensure dependable operation across a wide temperature range, from -40 to 60°C.
This system also supports a broad 12V-24V power input range and includes multiple protections against over-voltage, over-current, electrostatic discharge, and reverse-current, ensuring long-term durability. Its customisable I/O interface allows for quick adaptation to various industrial needs, making it ideal for smart factories, human-machine interface (HMI) applications, and outdoor kiosks. The Tinker System 3N also features a built-in neural-processing unit (NPU), enabling efficient AI integration and use in advanced applications.
ASUS IoT Tinker Board 3
The Tinker Board 3, equipped with a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor (Rockchip RK3566) and Arm Mali-G52 GPU, offers advanced graphics processing and robust security features. It is designed for rapid deployment, with a versatile software suite that includes support for over-the-air (OTA) updates, advanced controls, and SDKs. This makes it particularly suited for smart retail and healthcare sectors.
Like the Tinker System 3N, the Tinker Board 3 also includes an integrated NPU for AI tasks, supporting features such as object detection, speech recognition, and facial recognition. Its versatile functionality makes it ideal for a range of industrial applications, including digital signage, self-service kiosks, and medical equipment.
Integrated software and hardware solutions
Both the Tinker System 3N and Tinker Board 3 provide comprehensive software and hardware solutions, including an SDK with GPIO API integration for simplified development. They also offer power scheduling for improved energy efficiency, USB device power management for enhanced durability, and regular OTA updates to maintain peak performance.
These products represent a significant step forward in industrial computing, offering robust, flexible, and AI-ready solutions for a range of sectors.
