Viavi Solutions has announced its participation in MWC Barcelona from 26- 29 February 2024, where it will exhibit its latest advancements in network testing, automation, and optimisation solutions, leveraging the capabilities of NITRO Wireless and NITRO AIOps.
Oleg Khaykin, President and CEO of VIAVI, highlighted the swift progress in network technology over the past year, noting the significant impact of consumer-scale AI on global networking and computing resource demands. With the addition of 10,000 new 5G cities and the industry’s move towards 6G, alongside widespread Open RAN deployments, VIAVI is set to showcase a variety of solutions designed to assist customers and partners in adapting to these changes and delivering profitable services through future-proof networks.
Located in Hall 5, Stand #5A18, VIAVI will demonstrate its leading-edge solutions powered by the Network Integrated Test, Real-Time Analytics, and Optimisation (NITRO) platform, including:
- Network transformation and optimisation: Powered by VIAVI Telco AI, these solutions are aimed at enabling the automated, zero-touch networks of the future. NITRO AIOps offers support for communication service providers to utilise cloud platforms, open control interfaces, and automation, featuring cloud-native Asset Discovery, Inventory and Topology, Real-time Assurance with AI/ML-driven proactive problem resolution, analytics, and automation to enhance digital experiences across hybrid network environments.
- From 5G to 6G: NITRO Wireless integrates performance and interoperability test platforms for 3GPP and O-RAN standards with cloud, intelligence, and automation capabilities. Highlights include XHaulAdvisor for real-time fronthaul analysis, Open RAN security testing, a new compact solution for O-RAN conformance and R&D, and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) testing. The VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR) will also be featured.
- RAN intelligence: Showcasing cloud-based RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) test and geolocation apps that support the development of self-learning, optimised, and efficient wireless networks. Demonstrations will cover TeraVM RIC Test for platform validation and rApp/xApp training, along with VIAVI Geolocation rApp/xApp for any O-RAN RIC or Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) platform.
- Smart, secure, and automated field solutions: VIAVI’s field instruments are designed to empower technicians and contractors with smart, fault-free cell site installation and maintenance capabilities, incorporating automated test processes to bridge workforce skill gaps. Featured demonstrations will include 5G synchronization, interference hunting, electromagnetic field (EMF) analysis, and antenna alignment.
These demonstrations will explore new architectures and solutions to enhance 5G performance, pave the way for 5G Advanced and 6G, validate the commercial viability of Open RAN, and delve into RAN Intelligence and AIOps.
