Skydweller Aero is pleased to announce the appointment of Travis Vetter, previously Chief Engineer, to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new capacity, Travis will lead Skydweller’s strategic implementation of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring the company remains competitive and achieves its goals.

A longstanding member of Skydweller’s leadership, Travis previously served as Chief Engineer for Special Programmes at Northrop Grumman, where he provided technical leadership to hundreds of engineers and managed projects generating millions in annual revenue. Prior to that, Travis held key technical roles at the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he led several high-profile programmes, including the Tern programme as the Air Vehicle, VMS, and Flight Controls lead, and served as the Guidance Navigation & Control IPT Special Projects lead and Aeroelastic Controls lead for confidential projects.
Travis brings extensive expertise in aircraft design, UAV flight control, aeroelastic systems control, vehicle management systems, and mission systems integration. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California.
