The IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC),the leading international event on industry transformation through disruptive technologies, has toured the main cities of China to present the next edition, which will take place from 21-23 May at Fira de Barcelona, to companies and government entities in the field of new technologies.
The IOTSWC delegation visited the cities of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wuxi and Beijing, where they held various business meetings and signed collaboration agreements.
Over the course of ten days, they met with executives from various companies and associations such as Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, AtomSemi, InteBridge, Shenzhen Association of Internet of Things, Futian District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, Shanghai Pudong Software Park and Alliance Internet, among others. They also made a presentation of IOTSWC in Hangzhou to around fifty potential Chinese exhibitors at an event organised by the Hangzhou Expo Group Trade Show.
In Wuxi, IOT Solutions World Congress and the EU Project Innovation Centre (EUPIC) of this city have signed a mutual cooperation agreement whereby EUPIC will act the ambassador of the event organised by Fira de Barcelona, and as a platform to promote investment and cooperation between China and the European Union. In this regard, it should be noted that Wuxi is a city committed to innovation and technology with some 3,000 companies linked to IoT.
The Director of IOTSWC, Marc Tarragó, said that “during these days we have seen the great interest of Chinese companies to participate in our event and show their latest innovations to the European market, as well as to discover the advances of Western companies. Our aim is precisely to promote global connections, share knowledge and drive innovation”. Tarragó added: “Beyond commercial actions, we want to create opportunities, foster the exchange of disruptive ideas, to be the place where innovators, entrepreneurs and industry leaders from Europe and China meet, learn from each other, and explore new paths for collaboration.”
Organised by Fira de Barcelona, IOT Solutions World Congress will be held from 21-23 May at the Gran Via venue and is expected to bring together 12,000 visitors from over 100 countries, more than 400 exhibitors and a line-up of 250 speakers and experts who will take part in the 125 congress sessions
