IoT Insights shakeup: subcategories Technical Insights and Industry Insights added

As we’ve previously said, IoT Insider is on march – and we meant it! Since January 2023, we’ve seen the successful launch of IoT Insights, subsequent new sections on the website – products, podcasts – and an expansion of our coverage. Yet, we want to add even more. Therefore, we have launched IoT Technical insights!

IoT Insights is, of course, where we give industry experts the chance to contribute and talk on issues they want to explore in the IoT sphere. But now, this section with have two subcategories: Industry Insights and Technical insights. Industry Insights will display the same sort of contributor content you’ve been seeing on our website, where as Technical Insights will dive into the hardware, specifications and application of the tech ushering in the IoT revolution.

Where Industry Insights focuses on things like “How IoT and AI are revolutionising the manufacturing industry” or “Gearing up for digital supply chains: C4DTI, the IoT and the ETDA”, Technical Insights looks at “How to alleviate network blackspots in water industry” and “Examining IoT’s identity crisis”.

Yet should you want to view both Industry and Technical Insights together, you can, by clicking IoT Insights and it will bring up all articles for you.

Hardware Deep Dives: In-depth articles exploring the latest IoT hardware components, including sensors, microcontrollers, and communication modules. These articles will delve into the technical specifications, capabilities, and use cases of these devices.

Network Protocols and Architectures: Detailed discussions on IoT network protocols, such as MQTT, CoAP, and LoRaWAN, along with insights into IoT network architectures and how they impact IoT device communication and data transfer.

What to expect from Technical Insights

Security and Privacy Measures: Informative content about the critical aspects of IoT security, including encryption techniques, authentication methods, and best practices for safeguarding IoT devices and data. This might also include discussions on privacy considerations in IoT.

IoT Data Management: Technical insights into data collection, storage, and processing in IoT systems. Topics might include edge computing, cloud integration, and data analytics techniques specific to IoT applications.

IoT Device Management and Maintenance: Articles covering the challenges and solutions related to IoT device provisioning, management, and maintenance. This could encompass firmware updates, remote monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.

These technical insights will provide valuable information to developers, engineers, and IoT enthusiasts looking to deepen their understanding of the underlying technology that powers IoT solutions.
