Genetec, a prominent technology provider offering integrated security, public safety, operational, and business intelligence solutions, has unveiled its latest enterprise-grade SaaS solution, Security Center SaaS, granting organisations complete flexibility in selecting door controllers, cameras, and devices tailored to their specific needs.
Built on an open platform architecture, Security Center SaaS allows organisations to seamlessly connect directly to the cloud using the latest Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, and i-PRO cameras. Furthermore, Security Center SaaS facilitates the migration of existing access control and camera hardware to the cloud through the introduction of the new range of Genetec Cloudlink appliances, optimising existing infrastructure investments.
Support for direct cloud connectivity for Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, and i-PRO devices includes:
- In addition to a diverse range of cameras from various manufacturers, Security Center SaaS fully leverages the newly introduced Axis Cloud Connect solution and the existing Axis Powered by Genetec network door controller. Security Center SaaS empowers customers to securely connect, enrol, and manage Axis devices across a variety of deployment options, including direct device-to-cloud streaming of video, metadata, and access control data
- The latest Bosch cameras will seamlessly integrate with Genetec Security Center SaaS. Following the release of firmware version 9.21 later this year, Bosch will provide camera configuration capabilities and video viewing within the Security Center SaaS platform via direct-to-cloud connections
- Hanwha Vision’s Q series cameras will be fully compatible with Security Center SaaS. Over time, Hanwha Vision will extend support for Security Center SaaS across its entire product range to enhance integrated systems
- i-PRO aims to make as many existing camera models as possible compatible with the new Genetec solution through an app-based approach. Users of AI-enabled i-PRO cameras can simply install an application on the camera to gain direct access to Genetec Security Center SaaS
“The Genetec Cloudlink line of cloud-managed appliances enables organisations to modernise their security infrastructure to benefit from new capabilities. The new line of appliances facilitates the migration of security systems to a modern hybrid cloud architecture while maximising existing security investments,” said Christian Morin, Vice President of Product Engineering at Genetec.
The existing Synergis Cloud Link enables customers to effortlessly integrate their existing or new HID Mercury-based access control infrastructure into a cloud or hybrid deployment. As part of the Genetec Cloudlink appliances family, the Synergis Cloud Link ensures authenticated communications between hardware and cloud, ensuring a secure path to an open access control as a service (ACaaS) solution.
