Digital Matter has unveiled the next-generation versions of their Dart3 and G70 GPS vehicle and equipment tracking devices, now enhanced with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) capability.
The G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE build on the robust features of their predecessors, adding Bluetooth functionality for comprehensive sensor and condition monitoring. These devices offer high-precision, real-time tracking via Cellular LTE-M (Cat-M1)/NB IoT connectivity and can be used for extensive driver and vehicle monitoring. The flexible inputs interface with various devices and switches to monitor driver safety and behaviour by detecting fatigue, accidents, route deviation, immobilisation, speeding, and more.
With the integration of Bluetooth gateway technology, the G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE now support concurrent GPS tracking and BLE monitoring, providing a practical and customisable solution for businesses.
“This addition to our Bluetooth portfolio marks a significant enhancement of our asset tracking capabilities,” says Ken Everett, CEO and Founder of Digital Matter. “By integrating location tracking with Bluetooth Low Energy, our partners can now expand the scope and scale of their fleet management and equipment tracking solutions, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and asset protection.”
For fleet management and equipment tracking, the BLE capability enables the monitoring of vital vehicle parameters such as fuel levels, fuel flow rates, axle load meters, tyre pressure, and temperature. BLE also allows for Driver ID, seamlessly authenticating and identifying drivers without the need for physical keys or ID cards.
The G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE devices support a wide range of industry-standard BLE tags and sensors, enabling versatile and customisable solutions. This compatibility ensures a simple, plug-and-play experience, allowing seamless integration with any BLE tag on the market. This flexibility allows businesses to tailor their asset tracking and monitoring systems to meet specific needs and requirements.
Data from BLE sensors can be seamlessly integrated with any end-platform, offering flexible integration and API control. This capability empowers businesses to easily incorporate Digital Matter’s solutions into their existing systems, streamlining operations and enhancing asset management deployment.
Digital Matter continues to evolve its portfolio to meet the dynamic needs of its partners. The company has also announced plans to expand the Dart3 BLE to their global range, enabling worldwide asset visibility and management across most of the world’s cellular networks.
“Many of our partners require a ‘truly global’ connectivity solution,” said Everett. “We are excited to soon offer a solution that addresses these needs, enabling effective fleet management and asset tracking without geographic limitations.”
