Dexory has announced its first deployment of robotics and artificial intelligence solutions in the United States. The deployment takes place at a major site of DB Schenker in Utah, following Dexory’s early February announcement of its strategic expansion into the North American market.
The deployment featured the introduction of the advanced DexoryView solution, incorporating autonomous mobile robotics (AMRs) and a digital twin technology, facilitating swift and efficient implementation. This innovation has enabled the generation of real-time data points, offering DB Schenker immediate operational insights.
DB Schenker, recognised for its leadership in logistics and supply chain management, aims to utilise Dexory’s technology to improve real-time visibility and tracking of stock and occupancy. The DexoryView solution, specifically designed to scan the Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) area, is capable of monitoring 40,000 pallet locations daily. By employing sophisticated computer vision and AI, it delivers precise visual insights across various shelf and height levels, streamlining operational efficiency by prioritising actions and minimising manual checks for discrepancies.
Daniel Spencer, Director – Solutions & Engineering at DB Schenker Americas, expressed enthusiasm about the integration of Dexory’s technology, stating: “We are excited to introduce Dexory’s promising technology in our warehouses. The deployment of Dexory’s robotics and AI solution underscores our dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and highlights our pursuit of operational excellence.”
The successful integration and utilisation of the DexoryView solution have been greatly facilitated by the collaborative efforts of Dexory and DB Schenker teams. Together, they are dedicated to leveraging the collected data to its fullest potential, aiming to enhance the deployment of robotics and AI within the logistics and supply chain sector.
Oana Jinga, Chief Commercial & Product Officer at Dexory, reflected on the significance of this deployment, remarking: “This live deployment signifies a major step forward in Dexory’s mission to revolutionise how businesses approach logistics and operational efficiency. The progress achieved with DB Schenker serves as a testament to the power of innovative technology in transforming traditional practices, ushering in a new era of precision, speed, and insight in the world of logistics.”
Dexory anticipates future collaborations and deployments that promise to continue reshaping industry standards and fostering operational excellence. For those interested in witnessing Dexory’s innovations firsthand, the company will be present at MODEX in Atlanta from March 11-14th, where it will showcase alongside DB Schenker representatives at booth #B708.
