At SPS 2023, Nov. 14-16 in Nuernberg, Black Box (Hall 5, Stand 119) will showcase IoT monitoring solutions that record events on site and automate actions remotely, allowing users to detect and address suboptimal performance and faults before they lead to downtime. With a focus on reducing costs and extending the life of mechanical systems, Black Box will demonstrate how its AlertWerks AW3000 IoT wireless gateway and AlertWerks wired system empower organisations to monitor, control and automate environmental conditions in buildings – from next door or kilometres away – and how its Emerald KVM systems unite with IoT monitoring to support predictive maintenance and process control.

On its stand, Black Box will highlight both the open-system AlertWerks AW3000 IoT wireless gateway, which uses LoRaWAN wireless technology and operates with any LoRaWAN sensor on the market, and the AlertWerks wired solution. As physical and virtual sensors on site monitor temperature, humidity, water leaks, door access, lighting and electrical switches, and more, both AlertWerks systems record events and automate actions remotely, giving organisations full control via an intuitive browser-based interface. Notifications and alerts can be delivered via phone, tablet, computer or other remote devices.
Like other IoT monitoring solutions, AlertWerks can collect and push data to the cloud. But for greater security, the all-in-one AlertWerks AW3000 box is designed to maintain data on premises. Based on an open SQL database, the AW3000 uses SNMP and MQTT to communicate and interface with the Black Box ControlBridge and Emerald KVM systems, which will also be on display on the Black Box stand in an integrated solution that unites IoT monitoring with management and control of KVM and AV systems.
