Anglia Components has announced the broadening of its wireless module offerings through an expanded partnership with Telit Cinterion.
This development follows Telit’s acquisition of Thales’ cellular IoT product business, Cinterion. As a result, Anglia’s existing relationship with Cinterion now includes the entire range of Telit Cinterion’s products and services, with Anglia’s Field Application Engineers (FAEs) fully trained on this extended portfolio.
John Bowman, Marketing Director at Anglia, shared his thoughts on this expansion: “Since the start of our partnership with Cinterion in 2008, their wireless modules have been highly sought after by our customers for various applications, including remote utility metering, e-tolls, POS terminals, and asset tracking systems. By broadening our partnership to include the full Telit Cinterion product line and related services, we’re enhancing our IoT solutions portfolio to better support our customers’ designs. We eagerly anticipate the new innovations that will result from this acquisition.”
In response, Pete Horwat, Senior Sales Director at Telit Cinterion, commented: “This is an exciting period for Telit Cinterion, and it’s crucial to have the right partners to distribute our comprehensive range of products and services. Anglia has been instrumental in Cinterion’s success, providing outstanding technical support and service. We are confident in their ability to effectively introduce the Telit Cinterion range to customers in the UK.”
Telit Cinterion was formally established in January 2023 when Telit acquired Cinterion from Thales. The acquisition has positioned the California-based company as a prominent provider of IoT solutions, broadening its portfolio to include a range of products, services, and packages that combine hardware, software, and connectivity solutions. Cinterion, known for modules that enable wireless machine-to-machine communication, has thus furthered Telit Cinterion’s capabilities in the IoT sector.
