The IoT Security Foundation (IoTSF) announces the 10th Annual IoT Security Foundation Conference, the event focused on IoT cybersecurity.
This event will take place on 23rd October at the IET in London, and the theme for this year’s conference is ‘The Past, Present, and Future of IoT Security’.
Renowned for its global reach and high-quality programming, the IoTSF conference has become a key event for IoT stakeholders worldwide. It is highly regarded across the industry for tackling the most critical challenges in areas such as regulation, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies. As the leading event in the field, the conference continues to attract a loyal following of industry experts and thought leaders.
This year’s edition will feature 10 expert-led sessions and over 40 speakers, bringing together some of the brightest minds in the IoT space. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain invaluable insights, explore the latest cybersecurity solutions, and engage in networking with peers from across the globe.
With advancements in quantum computing and the increasing accessibility of AI and machine learning (ML), new threats have emerged, but these technologies also offer powerful tools for enhancing IoT security. In line with these developments, this year’s conference will focus on new approaches such as zero trust and continuous assurance processes while underscoring the importance of mastering the fundamental principles of cybersecurity.
The conference will showcase insights from leading global experts, with speakers representing the US, Europe, and Australia. Key topics will include the financial and business implications of securing IoT ecosystems, challenges posed by memory hacking, and best practices for industry-wide security.
John Moor, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the IoT Security Foundation, shared his thoughts on the significance of this year’s event: “The Internet of Things and the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence present huge opportunities for the global economy and society. However, in the wrong hands, these technologies – tools for good – can become weapons used against us. This year’s conference highlights advances with IoT security and also the importance of getting the foundations right to ensure we are prepared for future threats.”
The IoTSF is part of TechWorks, an organisation dedicated to fostering innovation in cybersecurity, AI, semiconductors, and automotive electronics. TechWorks has played a vital role in the UK’s deep-tech community since its establishment in 1996 and aims to strengthen the country’s position as a global technology leader.
Charles Sturman, CEO of TechWorks, emphasised the conference’s importance within the IoT community: “The IoTSF conference is the most important annual event for the IoT community and has a reputation for always delivering high-quality programmes. This year is no exception, with an impressive line-up of speakers bringing their expertise to the forefront. We look forward to welcoming you to this landmark event.”
