Blecon recently released its support for Nordic Semiconductor’s new, nRF54L Series multiprotocol SoCs, enabling Cloud connectivity for next-generation IoT devices. Coinciding with the nRF54L Series’ launch at electronica 2024, this support paves the way for breakthrough applications in industrial IoT, healthcare, and beyond.
“Nordic’s nRF54L Series SoCs are going to power the next generation of Bluetooth Low Energy devices,” said Simon Ford, CEO of Blecon. “By working closely with the Nordic team, we’ve already enabled our Bluetooth cloud connectivity on this cutting-edge hardware and are excited to now make the results available.”
With Blecon’s support for the nRF54L Series, developers can now:
- Design advanced single-chip Cloud connected devices using Bluetooth LE, without the need for 1-1 pairing or custom gateways
- Deploy coverage for these devices using mobile, laptop and dedicated Hotspots, eliminating infrastructure cost and installation complexity
- Achieve low-cost, battery-powered cloud connectivity leveraging nRF54L’s optimised power and performance.
“The new nRF54L Series delivers double the processing capabilities whilst bringing significant improvements in power consumption, making it ideal for next generation IoT products,” concluded Sam Presley, nRF54L Technical Product Manager, Nordic Semiconductor. “Blecon support enables the nRF54L Series to be used for Cloud connected applications, unlocking new product opportunities for our customers.”
