In 2024, Advantech made significant strides in industrial Wi-Fi 7 solutions by partnering with Qualcomm Technologies to create products tailored for industrial use, such as the AIW-173. The initial Wi-Fi 7 product is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter.

The AIW-173, a flagship Wi-Fi 7 model and the first of its kind for the embedded market, features Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800 Mobile Connectivity System. Advantech has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to develop and enhance sector-specific features such as fast-roaming, softAP, and Wake on WLAN from S5. This collaboration enables AIW to offer a comprehensive and reliable total solution tailored to the industrial market’s demands.
