e-peas, a provider of energy harvesting Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs), recently revealed that its power management technology is providing the foundation for numerous energy harvesting demonstrations in stand-alone sensor applications at Sensors Converge (running from 25-26 June, in Santa Clara, US).
The e-peas technology powers sensor applications showcased at Sensors Converge by various partners within the expansive e-peas energy harvesting ecosystem. This ecosystem encompasses a network of energy source producers, energy storage suppliers, and wireless communications device manufacturers, all coordinated by e-peas to equip Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with power solutions for fully autonomous systems.
At the exhibition, e-peas PMICs showcased at partner booths are configured to suit various energy sources, storage solutions, and output demands. The PMICs at Sensors Converge are deployed in managing harvested energy for diverse applications, including:
- Magnetic sensors
- Carbon dioxide sensors
- Bluetooth Low Energy sensor nodes
- Electronic shelf labels
- Motion detection sensors
Additionally, e-peas is demonstrating how PMICs can be incorporated into actual products and concept demonstrations during Sensors Converge.
The company’s latest PMIC offerings, the AEM10920 and AEM00920, are also featured at the event, along with their evaluation kits in two sizes: a credit card-sized unit and a smaller 15mm x 17mm board. These kits provide developers with the tools necessary for straightforward testing and evaluation of the AEM10920 or AEM00920 in prototype or proof-of-concept stages of autonomous sensor edge nodes.
