Danish IoT technology provider Develco Products has acquired Datek Smart Home, a division of Norwegian company Datek. Having worked on several projects together, the acquisition marks a next, natural step.
Both companies offer dedicated white label IoT hardware and Cloud services for smart energy, home care and security providers based in Europe and North America. Combined, they have over 60 years of experience and technical expertise in the IoT industry.
The acquisition will see the integration of Datek Smart Home’s expertise with Develco Products’, to strengthen its position in the market. Solutions from individual sensor devices and gateways to complete IoT solutions are provided.
The acquisition is effective from 1 October 2024. The new company’s headquarters are located in Aarhus, Denmark, and Karsten Ries will be Group CEO while Datek Smart Home’s CEO Sondre Aarrestad will stay on as Head of the Norwegian solution focused entity.
