TEWS Technologies, known for its expertise in creating turnkey, embedded interface solutions, has introduced its newest product, the COTS TXMC397 Conduction Cooled Switched Mezzanine Card (CCXMC)-compatible module. The TXMC397 enhances the company’s portfolio by offering high-speed Ethernet connectivity suitable for various demanding applications.
The TXMC397 is available in two versions:
- TXMC397-10R: Provides two 10GBase-T Ethernet interfaces via P16 Back I/O, mapped in the X12d range specified in the VITA46.9 standard
- TXMC397-20R: Offers two 10GBase-T Ethernet interfaces via P16 Back I/O, mapped in the X8d range specified in the VITA46.9 standard
“This new product exemplifies our commitment to innovation and quality for the most demanding environments with COTS products,” said Tim Tews, General Manager of TEWS Technologies. “The TXMC397 is designed to meet the requirements of high-speed data communication, providing our clients with unparalleled flexibility and performance in extreme conditions.”
This module supports a variety of Ethernet standards and speeds, making it ideal for applications in the COTS, industrial, and IoT markets. The TXMC397 features dual-channel 10GBase-T Ethernet and supports multiple Ethernet speeds and standards, including 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T, and NBase-T.
The TXMC397 is designed for robust and reliable operation, boasting a high Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), which highlights the company’s commitment to durability and quality. It utilises Intel’s X710-AT2 10 Gigabit Ethernet controller and includes a 64 Mbit Serial Flash for PXE and iSCSI boot. Software support for the controller is available on Intel’s official website, with TEWS Technologies providing additional support for other operating systems.
The XMC-Connector P15 connects to the Intel X710-AT2 dual port 10GbE controller via a x4 PCIe 3.0 link. Both Ethernet interfaces support transmission rates of 100 Mbit/s, 1000 Mbit/s, 2.5 Gbit/s, 5 Gbit/s, and 10 Gbit/s. The XMC-Connector P16 supports rear I/O connectivity with VITA46.9 X12d or X8d mapping.
TEWS’ latest module adheres to the ANSI/VITA 42.0 standard, with a compact form factor of 143.75 mm x 74 mm, and supports the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) in accordance with IEEE 1588/802.1AS standards.
