The upcoming Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2023 is getting closer! Scheduled to take place from November 7-9 in Fira de Barcelona, the leading event on cities and smart urban solutions will hold its largest edition to date. Under the theme “Welcome to the New Urban Era” it will record an outstanding growth, marked by a 55% increase in exhibition floorspace and a notable 20% increase in attendees compared to preceding years. We anticipate that over 1,000 exhibitors, more than 25,000 professional attendees, and representatives from over 800 cities across 140 countries will meet in Barcelona.
The lineup of 600 speakers features Alyssa-Amor Gibbons, an architect specialized in green design; Micaela Mantegna, a legal practitioner with expertise in AI; and Claire O’Neill, the former UK Minister for Energy & Clean Growth and a renowned sustainable development expert.
The congress will organize its program into eight tracks: Mobility, Energy & Environment, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Buildings, Safety & Security, and Blue Economy.
The exhibition floorspace of SCEWC is now fully booked and will showcase the products, solutions and projects of companies such as Aramco, Cisco, Dell, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, Smart Ports: Piers of the Future, and Sorigué, and cities and countries such as Brazil, China, Estonia, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Nordics, Poland, and the USA, among others.
Alongside our core event, three co-located events—Tomorrow.Building, Tomorrow.Mobility, and Tomorrow.BlueEconomy—will offer specialized insights into construction, transportation, and the maritime opportunities for coastal cities, further establishing Barcelona as a global center for innovative urban solutions.
