Develco Products, a provider of white label IoT platforms and IoT products, is proud to announce its role in securing the world’s first product inspection accreditation for IoT cybersecurity.
The Alexandra Institute, a technological research and service institute in Denmark, has received the first-ever accreditation to inspect IoT products for cybersecurity risks, awarded by DANAK (The Danish Accreditation Fund).
This accreditation marks a significant milestone for the industry in ensuring the cybersecurity of IoT products entering the market and reaching consumers.
The foundation of this accreditation rests on three IoT product inspection cases, using a range of Develco Products’ devices with the Squid.link gateway at the core. These cases cover key markets for Develco Products, including a home care scenario featuring Develco Products’ Audio Assistant and Panic Button, and a security scenario using the Intelligent Keypad, Smart Siren, and other security-related devices.
Through inspecting these test IoT ecosystems, the Alexandra Institute has been able to test and validate its inspection system in collaboration with Develco Products.
“We are delighted to be part of this collaboration. As a designer and manufacturer of an IoT platform, it is crucial for us to build a deep understanding of existing and future cyber security standards and requirements. This benefits both Develco Products and our customers,” said Jesper Hæe, Senior Software Architect at Develco Products.
