Edge application management and operations platform provider Avassa, and OnLogic, announce a partnership to deliver a comprehensive Edge solution combining hardware and software, specifically designed for industrial IoT Edge environments.
Avassa, specialists in container application and AI model management at the Edge, offer a platform that caters to use cases including site installation, deployment, monitoring, and securing applications across numerous locations. OnLogic, recognised globally for its highly-configurable, solution-focused industrial computer manufacturing, produces systems that perform in the most challenging environments, enabling customers to overcome complex computing issues across a range of sectors. The synergy between OnLogic and Avassa provides organisations with a holistic Edge solution encompassing both hardware and software, crafted for Edge settings.
“Avassa and OnLogic form an exceptional partnership for various reasons. We frequently engage with customers who are developing a new generation of IoT Edge infrastructure, which encompasses both Edge computers and a software platform for managing Edge and IoT applications. Similar to the Avassa platform, OnLogic is designed from the ground up for distributed Edge and IoT environments. Together, we offer customers a comprehensive solution that stands out in addressing the unique challenges of the Edge,” says Carl Moberg, CTO of Avassa.
Venturing into the era of Cloud-connected IoT
The industrial IoT sector is witnessing a significant shift, moving towards intelligent Edge environments with fully containerised applications, ready for the future of more streamlined management and Cloud-connected industrial IoT.
This evolution demands next-generation integrated software and hardware industrial IoT solutions that can fully meet these needs. Through their partnership, Avassa and OnLogic provide a complete solution that allows businesses to fully leverage IoT systems, benefit from hardware engineered for tough, rugged environments, and manage industrial IoT applications easily, centrally, and securely.
Designed specifically for the IoT Edge
Both Avassa and OnLogic have developed solutions tailored for the IoT Edge. OnLogic’s industrial computers are fanless, durable, and can withstand extreme temperatures, making them ideal for challenging industrial settings. Avassa’s Edge Platform is developed for managing and operating container applications at the Edge, offering unique features for Edge-specific issues, such as targeted deployments, OS upgrades, and offline application capabilities.
“We’re delighted to collaborate with Avassa to offer enterprise customers a holistic solution for containerisation and orchestration for modern Edge deployments,” said Kim Wasserman, OnLogic VP of Product Management. “Their software solutions perfectly complement our rugged and reliable hardware for IIoT applications and beyond. Like us, Avassa is committed to empowering customers on their Edge innovation journey. We’re excited to provide OEMs, end users, and solution providers with a more comprehensive solution for managing applications at the Edge, transforming their data into actionable insights and ROI.”
An Avassa and OnLogic solution is currently being implemented by LiDAR monitoring specialists FlashEye to minimise downtime at mining facilities. OnLogic (booth 3-231) and Avassa (booth 4-103) will demonstrate their products at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany, from 9-11 April.
