bitsensing is happy to announce that it has received ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its suite of advanced radar solutions which are used across automotive, smart cities, healthcare and beyond. The certification is an important milestone for bitsensing as it upholds the company’s steadfast commitment to the highest standards of information security and data protection.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the latest international standard for managing information security, providing a framework for organisations to protect sensitive data through a risk-based approach. It introduces updated controls aligned with modern security challenges, such as Cloud security and data leakage, and emphasises the continuous improvement of information security management systems (ISMS).
“At bitsensing, we are acutely aware of how important it is to protect the data and information security of our employees, customers, and stakeholders,” said Jae-Eun Lee, CEO of bitsensing. “We are proud to have achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification as we continue to push forth our mission to bring advanced radar solutions to exciting applications across automotive, smart city, healthcare, and beyond.”
Adopting ISO/IEC 27001:2022 demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to data protection by aligning with global best practices, enhancing stakeholder trust, and boosting credibility in the marketplace. It helps organisations meet a wide range of legal and regulatory requirements and maintain organizational resilience, ensuring they remain compliant in an increasingly complex, security-focused environment.
bitsensing receives this gold-standard certification in data management following a year filled with milestone moments and key industry partnerships, including recently having its intelligent transportation system (ITS) solution, TraXight, named a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Smart Cities category and partnering with the City of Verona (Comune di Verona) and FAMAS Systems to install and activate advanced traffic sensors at Porta Nuova, the historic gateway to the Italian city of Verona. The bitsensing team also secured a $25m Series B funding round in June 2024 and was selected for Forbes’ Asia 100 to Watch list in September.
