Kerlink and OrbiWise have formed a partnership to provide integrated, ready-to-use network solutions, designed for ease of use without the need for additional evaluation and testing. This collaboration was announced at Enlit Europe, a comprehensive forum addressing the global energy agenda.
The partnership focuses on fully integrating Kerlink’s Wirnet indoor and outdoor gateways with OrbiWise’s OrbiWAN, a carrier-grade LoRaWAN network server (LNS). This integration aims to expand their presence in various market verticals, including smart-metering, smart-building, smart-city, and smart-agriculture.
LoRaWAN Network Servers, capable of being cloud-hosted or on-premises, manage data from thousands of sensors via multiple IoT gateways, securely directing them to the user’s application server.
Kerlink, a globally renowned provider of IoT connectivity solutions, services, and equipment, caters to a diverse range of clients in 70 countries. It offers indoor and outdoor, carrier-grade gateways suitable for various sites and environments. OrbiWise, known for the robustness and scalability of its platform, has successfully integrated its OrbiWAN with numerous Kerlink gateways and devices in some of the largest LoRaWAN networks worldwide. The two companies have been collaborating since the inception of the LoRa Alliance in 2015.
Yann Bauduin, Chief of Sales at Kerlink, comments on the partnership: “This collaboration enables us to extend our market reach and provide customers with top-tier IoT gateways and LoRaWAN Network Servers. Our goal is to fully integrate our solutions and expedite the joint adoption of our LoRaWAN offerings. Additionally, our business and technological synergy across various markets will support our business strategies, offering coherent and high-performing solutions to customers.”
Domenico Arpaia, CEO of OrbiWise, highlights the added value this tighter integration will bring to their customers: “Our customers increasingly seek comprehensive solutions. Kerlink’s gateways have demonstrated their quality and reliability in large-scale deployments since the early days of LoRaWAN, making them an ideal choice for end-to-end deployments with our LNS. Together, we are committed to delivering innovative Edge IoT solutions to meet the specific needs of our customers.”
