Swissbit is set to unveil its latest innovations and product highlights at the Embedded World 2024 exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany, from the 9-11 April, at Booth 1-543. The company will highlight its advanced PCIe high-performance portfolio within the memory segment, notably featuring the N5200 SSD, recognised for its leading performance in terms of IOPS per watt, alongside a range of embedded solutions tailored for industrial and IoT applications. Additionally, Swissbit will introduce its security offerings, including the new iShield Key Pro equipped with USB-C and memory cards certified with the CmReady label for effective license protection.
High-performance PCIe SSDs for Edge and enterprise
Swissbit addresses the increasing demands for storage in Edge computing, server environments, enterprise solutions, data centres, and network routers with its broadened array of high-performance PCIe SSDs. Leading this portfolio, the N5200 SSD is celebrated for its exceptional reliability, longevity, and scalability, boasting up to 30% lower power consumption than comparable PCIe Gen4 SSDs and setting a benchmark for performance efficiency.
The portfolio also includes the N3202 SSD, part of the N3000 series, engineered for high-stakes applications in Edge servers and network infrastructures. This SSD blends durability and reliability with a sturdy design, incorporating Swissbit’s powersafe PLP technology and sophisticated security features. Utilising eTLC flash memory and a DRAM-based controller, the N3202 offers an endurance of up to 1.5 DWPD over five years.
Embedded storage solutions for IoT and beyond
In Nuremberg, Swissbit will showcase its embedded storage solutions, devised to tackle the demands of automation, gateways, and green IoT applications. This includes the DRAM-less N2000 series PCIe SSD, offering a host memory buffer support as an efficient choice for embedded systems needing reduced power consumption and compact sizes.
For green IoT devices with modest storage needs, such as charging stations or smart meters, Swissbit will present e.MMCs and SD memory cards from the EM-30 and S-56(u) series, with capacities from 4 to 8 GB. These products are designed for high reliability and endurance, providing cost-effective performance.
Introducing USB-C: the new FIDO2 security key
Expanding its security key lineup, Swissbit introduces the iShield Key Pro with a USB-C interface at Embedded World 2024. This device supports FIDO2, PIV, HOTP, and TOTP standards and can be used for physical access control, offering flexibility with its NFC interface in addition to USB-C.
License protection with CmReady-certified memory cards
Swissbit’s new PS-66(u) DP SD and microSD cards are not only robust and suited for industrial applications but also feature a unique aspect: certification for CmReady by WIBU, integrating CodeMeter technology for secure software protection and licensing. These Swissbit memory cards serve as an efficient, cost-effective license container within the CodeMeter ecosystem, facilitating license protection for embedded and IoT device manufacturers. A demonstration of the CmReady functionality will be available at the Swissbit booth, in collaboration with WIBU.
