Wiliot announced that its ambient IoT Pixels and Visibility Platform have been included in TIME’s list of Notable Inventions of 2023.
The Wiliot ambient IoT Visibility Platform bridges the digital and physical domains using its IoT Pixels – stamp-sized, self-sustained computing devices that are remarkably affordable. These IoT Pixels can be affixed to any item to link it to the Internet; this includes not only high-end items such as vehicles, appliances, and cargo containers but also their contents: fruit, vegetables, vaccine containers, clothing, boxes, and a wide array of other items.

To assemble the 2023 notable inventions list, TIME gathered suggestions from editors and correspondents globally and through a digital application method, giving particular focus to emerging sectors, such as AI, green energy, and eco-friendliness. TIME subsequently assessed each nominee based on a variety of principal criteria, including innovation, effectiveness, aspiration, and influence.

Regarding the new compilation, TIME’s editors noted, “The outcome is a list of 200 pioneering inventions (and 50 special mentions) – encompassing an advanced supercomputer, an innovative entertainment venue, and a novel geometric form – that are shaping the way we live, work, enjoy, and contemplate potentialities.”
Beyond its real-time carbon tracing, Wiliot’s ambient IoT Visibility Platform is aiding several of the globe’s prominent companies in transitioning to fully automated, wholly transparent supply chains that address the demands of omni-channel rivalry, diminish wastage, elevate food safety standards and quality, and boost medicinal effectiveness.
