Lyca Mobile has signed an extension of the contract with epay, a Europe-based prepaid provider, to offer its SIM products to customers across Italy with the help of epay’s large distribution network of retail partners.
The new deal will oversee Lyca SIM products promoted across more than 2,000 points of sale in Italy, in partnership with 12 major retailers.
The retail partnerships span different sectors designed to maximise customer engagement. These include Unieuro, a distributor of consumer electronics and household appliances, and the Italian bookstore, Feltrinelli Librerie.
Lyca’s SIM products will be made available through epay’s in-store displays, strategically placed in high-traffic areas to maximise visibility and access.
Customers will benefit from Lyca’s self-service SIM purchase model, enabling them to buy the SIM independently. After the purchase, mobile service activation triggers when the customer completes a mandatory registration process via a dedicated digital journey.
“Italy is a key growth market for Lyca Mobile, and we are very proud to work in partnership with epay to further expand our customer base across the country. Our retail partners have been handpicked to ensure maximum brand exposure, giving existing and prospective customers access to our world-class SIM services,” said Roberto De Stradis, Country Manager for Lyca Mobile.
“Lyca Mobile has a proven track record of delivering high quality mobile services across the globe. This new deal is a further expansion of our existing partnership, as we aim to bring first class mobile services and products to the Italian market,” added Sebastiano Licciaerdello, Managing Director, epay Italy.
