Arrow Electronics has announced a distribution agreement for the EMEA region with The Things Industries, a comprehensive LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) solutions provider. Leveraging the complementary strengths of The Things Industries’ LoRaWAN network server, The Things Stack Cloud, and Arrow’s suite of associated products, this partnership aims to lower the overall cost of ownership for LoRaWAN initiatives.
Under this arrangement, Arrow will supply all three fundamental components necessary for successful LoRaWAN ventures – components, LoRaWAN connectivity, and engineering services – from a single source. This consolidated approach offers customers notable advantages, including cost efficiencies, time savings, simplified procurement processes, and effective support.
Vitali Damasevich, Director of Engineering for Eastern Europe & ESC EMEA at Arrow Electronics, said: “Customers can accelerate and streamline their LoRaWAN-enabled product development by pairing Arrow’s high level of support, from design, development and production and The Things Industries secure cloud provisioning.”
As a prominent LoRaWAN connectivity and service provider, The Things Industries assumes a pivotal role in the global LoRaWAN ecosystem. Boasting a worldwide installed base exceeding 50,000 gateways, 1.5 million connected devices, and 500 enterprise clients, the company’s objective is to demystify LoRaWAN development complexities, cultivating integration and interoperability throughout the supply chain while reducing total ownership costs. The company envisions a platform accessible to anyone aspiring to master LoRaWAN and construct competitive solutions.
Wienke Giezeman, CEO, The Things Industries, said, “Our LoRaWAN solution, The Things Stack Cloud, along with Arrow’s IoT hardware and software expertise, will help companies save significantly on upfront development and ongoing IoT operational costs, as well as reduce time-to-market.”
