The TH3 energy chain for automated mushroom harvesting
The TH3 energy chain, a product of AXIS Harvesting, is the world’s first polymer energy chain developed according to ‘Hygienic Design Guidelines’. The technology, which uses Igus’s hygienic energy chain technology and readycables, has been developed with Igus’s produc is FDA compliant – with the blue coloured material typical of plastic elements in the food industry (consisting of igumid TH NB for the side parts and igumid TH G for the frames and mounting brackets).
Its rounded edges mean that there are no dead spaces for germ formation and with an operating temperature of −40°C / +70°C.
