Neutroon has announced its intention to expand its workforce in the coming 12 months in response to a marked increase in demand for its private 5G, Edge computing, and IoT services. As a Cloud-based management and orchestration software, Neutroon simplifies the adoption of new wireless technologies for network operators and businesses alike.
Having secured £2 million in funding alongside £1.5 million in R&D grants, Neutroon currently employs over 25 individuals globally. The firm is poised to augment its team by adding 15 new members in roles spanning engineering and sales by year’s end. Neutroon’s hardware-neutral Cloud portal and API offer a unified operating system for managing multiple private 5G and Edge computing networks, providing network operators and enterprise IT teams with the tools to efficiently oversee advanced wireless networks from a single interface. This approach not only streamlines operations but also ensures the reliability and cybersecurity necessary for supporting sophisticated applications across various sectors, including logistics, real estate, construction, utilities, and manufacturing.
With the majority of its workforce operating remotely in software development and telecom engineering, Neutroon aims to penetrate new markets, particularly in the US and Latin America, and introduce innovative features such as eSIM management, SLA engines, AI agents, and support for leading telecom brands.
The firm’s entry into the US CBRS market, facilitated by a partnership with a nationwide distributor, is a significant component of its aggressive growth strategy over the next year.
By 2024, Neutroon anticipates growing in tandem with the private 5G market, which is projected to see an 800% increase, reaching £6.3 billion by 2028, as per an Analysis Mason report. The expected rise in network deployments from 4,000 in 2022 to over 60,000 underscores the expanding reach of 5G, with current data indicating 77% of the UK population has access to basic 5G services.
