Extreme Networks will equip the Tennessee Titans’ new Nissan Stadium with a Wi-Fi 7 network and what it describes as a “first-of-its-kind” Multi-Beam Wireless system, marking the debut of the technology in a major venue as operators push towards more data-heavy, always-connected environments.
The US-listed networking company said the stadium will be the first to deploy its Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless system, which combines MatSing antenna technology with Extreme access points to deliver targeted, high-capacity coverage across large, densely populated spaces.
Extreme said the system is designed to “reach every corner of the building, providing targeted, high-capacity coverage, even with tens of thousands of people connecting at once.”
The deployment forms part of a wider upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure intended to support high-density connectivity for fans using mobile services, streaming content, and accessing digital retail systems during events.
Andrew McIntyre, senior vice president of technology at the Tennessee Titans, said the partnership builds on a long-standing relationship with the vendor.
“We’ve worked closely with Extreme for years to push the boundaries of what’s possible in stadium technology, and their expertise in large venue connectivity is unmatched,” he said.
“As the first venue to deploy Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless, we’re defining the future of stadium connectivity, enabling a more immersive fan experience, and building a network that can support the next decade of live events.”
Extreme said its Fabric architecture will provide self-healing routing, policy-based management, and automated scaling across events, including peak-demand games.
The company also highlighted its Extreme Platform ONE system, which provides unified network management, real-time analytics, and AI-driven visibility across infrastructure operations.
John Brams, senior vice president, Americas at Extreme Networks, said the stadium project reflects growing demand for high-capacity digital infrastructure in large venues.
“The Titans had a bold vision for their new home, and we’re honoured they chose Extreme as a partner in bringing it to life,” he said.
“The network will be foundational to every fan, employee and operational experience inside the stadium, and we’re excited to help power a venue built to host the biggest moments in sports and entertainment.”
Extreme said the Titans will be the 12th NFL organisation to deploy its Wi-Fi systems, with 30 teams also using its analytics platform to assess fan behaviour and application usage during events.
Features of the deployment include Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for high-density environments, automated network scaling, and analytics tools intended to support operational decision-making.
The company said Extreme Multi-Beam Wireless represents “the first hyper-directional antenna solution for Wi-Fi,” designed to increase performance in crowded, high-traffic environments.
