Thailand’s ambitions to become a regional digital hub received a boost this week as SYMPHONY COMMUNICATION, the country’s leading telecom and digital infrastructure provider, announced a strategic partnership with Telehouse Thailand, a subsidiary of Japanese telecommunications group KDDI Corporation.
The collaboration combines SYMPHONY’s fibre-optic networks, internet connectivity, and Cloud services with Telehouse’s global data centre expertise. The tie-up is intended to strengthen Thailand’s role as a digital gateway for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and facilitate greater cross-border connectivity.
SYMPHONY provides enterprises, government bodies, carriers, and Cloud providers with Cloud, security, and connectivity solutions domestically and internationally. Its Cloud offering, SYMPHONY CLOUD, includes Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Backup-as-a-Service, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service, and managed Cloud solutions. The integration with Telehouse’s data centres aims to offer enterprises low-latency access to multi-Cloud environments and scalable infrastructure to support digital transformation initiatives.
Alex Loh, Chief Executive of SYMPHONY, said the partnership would “strengthen Thailand’s position as a key digital hub in the ASEAN region” and provide a “powerful foundation of Cloud and connectivity that enables enterprises to grow globally with confidence.”
Telehouse Thailand’s Bangkok facility, which is powered entirely by renewable energy and certified under the I-REC standard, offers four diverse fibre routes and a 99.999% power uptime guarantee. The data centre is PCI DSS-compliant, reflecting growing demand for secure, resilient operations in an increasingly data-driven economy.
Ken Miyashita, Managing Director of Telehouse Thailand, highlighted the partnership’s role in enabling enterprises to leverage cloud and AI-driven services with “greater agility, scalability, and reliability.”
The alliance aligns with Thailand’s broader strategy to enhance its digital infrastructure, promote regional data exchange, and support enterprise growth across ASEAN and beyond.
