Advantech will unveil its latest Edge Computing and AI innovations at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona. Co-developed with NVIDIA and a global ecosystem of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) leveraging NVIDIA technologies, these solutions are driving the next generation of intelligent, connected, and sustainable cities. Using a visually engaging LEGO Smart City model, Advantech will demonstrate how data-driven intelligence enables cities to become smarter, safer, and more liveable. The exhibition highlights real-world Edge AI advancements shaping urban infrastructure, mobility, and operations – supporting the EU’s Green Deal and advancing global sustainability goals.
Smarter city & infrastructure
At the show, Advantech will demonstrate real-world AI deployments that exemplify how edge computing is transforming public infrastructure together with partners:
? Pantohealth smart train monitoring – Powered by Advantech ITA-560 AI Inference System built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, uses vibration and profile diagnostics to detect pantograph and overhead line issues anomalies before failures occur – thereby reducing downtime and extending the lifespan of rail assets.
? Parquery smart parking analytics – Leveraging NVIDIA Ada GPU acceleration on Advantech’s modular IPCs, this solution transforms standard cameras into parking sensors that analyse parking occupancy and duration in real time, helping cities manage parking efficiently without in-ground infrastructure.
Mobility & transportation intelligence with agentic systems
Collaborations with Nota.AI and AICuda highlight how Edge AI enhances mobility orchestration:
? Nota.AI control centre – Built on NVIDIA Jetson Thor and NVIDIA Blueprint for video search and summarisation (VSS) from NVIDIA Metropolis, this solution provides real-time video analytics AI agents that detect incidents and optimise traffic by leveraging existing sensor networks, reducing response times by over 90%.
? AICuda ITS Platform – Running on the Advantech MIC-711 AI Inference System built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, the system integrates adaptive signal control and live video analytics for intersection and public transport management. AICuda’s real-time and forensic search AI features offer one of the broadest and most comprehensive portfolios in the world, thanks to unique AI Vision capabilities, reinforcing traffic safety and improving commuter experience.
Physical AI for Urban services and robotics
Beyond mobility, Advantech will showcase Physical AI innovations extending intelligent automation into public services:
? mimik Technology’s Edge-Powered AI Agents – Utilising Cognifix software on NVIDIA Jetson, this decentralised system enables scalable, privacy-preserving decision-making across distributed IoT devices.
? Ouster BlueCity smart sensing – powered by Ouster digital LiDAR and NVIDIA Jetson with NVIDIA Metropolis, will demonstrate traffic monitoring and analytics that function reliably in all conditions. The system delivers continuous insights on vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, supporting adaptive signal control and safer urban planning.
? Advantech solution pilot GenAI AMR DevKit – An end-to-end robotics solution based on NVIDIA Jetson and NVIDIA Isaac workflows for mobility. The AMR DevKit integrates 360° perception and VLM+LLM intelligence with ReMEmbR to accelerate the creation of autonomous mobile robots, enabling 70% faster design and deployment for public safety and healthcare sectors.
? Debut of Advantech MIC-735 accelerated by NVIDIA IGX Thor – Unleashing the era of physical AI, Advantech’s industrial-grade MIC-735 AI inference system serves as the ‘neural?hub’ of next generation robotics and medical systems, connecting cameras, sensors, and AI?models through the NVIDIA? IGX? T5000 ?module to deliver safety critical AI?inference and ultra-low latency control.
“The future of mobility depends on connection – between systems, people, and cities,” said Stéphane Blanc, Transportation Sales Director, Advantech Europe. “By combining edge computing and AI, we empower operators and municipalities to innovate with confidence, creating safer, cleaner, and more connected cities.”
“Smart City Expo is where digital transformation meets human impact,” added Fay Arjomandi, CEO of mimik Technology. “Together with Advantech, we’re proving that edge-native and agentic AI systems can unlock real-time collaboration, sustainable efficiency, and citizen-centred innovation.”
