Wialon has joined Fleet Forum, a non-profit member organisation dedicated to improving road safety

Wialon has announced joining Fleet Forum, a non-profit membership organisation dedicated to improving road safety and sustainable fleet operations in the humanitarian aid and development sector worldwide.

Fleet Forum is the world’s only not-for-profit organisation dedicated to cleaner, safer, and more effective humanitarian transport in developing nations. By supporting member organisations in improving fleet management practices, Fleet Forum helps them deliver life-saving and life-changing aid to communities in need.

Fleet Forum runs global initiatives such as ride and vehicle sharing projects for humanitarian organisations, development projects that help reduce the sector’s environmental impact, training and consultancy for fleet management improvement, road safety programs, as well as local knowledge hubs in Kenya, Lebanon, and Nigeria.

Fleet Forum counts some of the world’s most impactful humanitarian aid and development organisations among its members, which includes Action Against Hunger, CARE International, Catholic Relief Services, and more.

As a knowledge partner, Wialon will offer pro-bono expertise and provide technology support to enhance Fleet Forum’s projects. Through this collaboration, Wialon aims to support Fleet Forum and its member organisations in optimising fleet performance and costs, enhancing vehicle and driver safety, improving driver behavior, and reducing environmental impact.

“Fleet Forum’s strategic agenda — focused on professionalising fleet operations, improving road safety, and promoting environmental responsibility — resonates strongly with Wialon’s core values,” said Paul Jansen, Executive Director, Fleet Forum. “The organisation’s projects, including fleet management training programs and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, are crucial for creating safer and more sustainable fleet ecosystems. Wialon will support the community by sharing its expertise, hosting educational webinars, and guiding members seeking advanced solutions to enhance fleet safety, promote eco-friendly operations, and improve driving behaviour.”

Powered by Gurtam, a European software development company, Wialon provides fleet tracking, fuel management, video telematics, and more — helping companies and organisations digitalise and streamline their fleet operations. Wialon works with over 2,700 partner companies in over 160 countries, serving fleets across various industries. Wialon connects over 4 million vehicles and processes over 5 billion data points daily.

“We believe that professional fleet management in developing countries can help save lives, reduce costs, and support environmental progress. Fleet Forum plays an incredibly important role in shaping responsible fleet practices in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in challenging environments,” said Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, Gurtam. “By helping humanitarian organisations around the world harness fleet digitalisation technology and use data to measure and improve their performance, we are helping them place social, financial, and environmental sustainability at the core of their fleet management strategy.”
