Italian technology group SECO has launched a telemetry platform, aiming to bring real-time data insights to a wider range of vending operators and streamline machine management.
The Cloud-first Clea Vend platform offers operators monitoring and analytics tools for vending machines, including sales tracking, error detection, and operational efficiency metrics.
By integrating with SECO’s KarL4 contactless payment terminals, already deployed on more than 150,000 machines, the system can provide automatic alerts for machine failures, inventory optimisation suggestions, and transaction analysis to reduce revenue losses and operational costs.
Operators not using SECO payment terminals can still access Clea Vend through the company’s retrofit Datalogger or via a standardised application programming interface (API), either Cloud-to-Cloud or directly from the machine.
Clea Vend can also be deployed as part of SECO’s Integrated Payment Solutions for original equipment manufacturers, combining the firm’s Modular Pay Mini hardware with Nayax’s payment platform. The integration allows businesses to manage vending machines remotely while leveraging AI-driven business intelligence for operational decision-making.
“Clea Vend telemetry services can work equally effectively with or without contactless payment terminals,” said Martin Duemling, Senior Product Manager Payment at SECO. “The easily integrated datalogger and API connectivity options make our telemetry solutions genuinely accessible, meaning a greater number of vending operators can benefit from having real-time operational data at their fingertips.”
SECO said the platform would initially roll out across Europe before expanding globally.
