Klika Tech, a global technology solutions and consulting firm specialising in innovative Cloud and Smart City solutions, announced that its Smart Water Meter solution, developed in collaboration with Subeca and powered by STMicroelectronics’ wireless microcontroller products, has been awarded in the “Smart Cities, Government & Utilities” category at the 2024 annual IoT Global Awards.
The awards, organised by IoT Global, celebrate excellence within the global IoT market, recognising leading companies, technologies, and products.
This accolade acknowledges firms at the forefront of the expanding edge computing field, highlighting those whose products and solutions facilitate advanced IoT deployments. These are characterised by their capability to bring real-time computing, data availability, analytics, AI, and machine learning to edge devices.
The judges noted the exceptional quality of entries for the 2024 Awards Program, reflecting the sector’s significant evolution over the years the programme has been in existence.
“The process of selecting category Award Winners for this year was particularly challenging, demonstrating the remarkable progress and innovation within this sector,” stated IoT Global.
Klika Tech and Subeca introduced Subeca BLINC, a solution that enables IoT connectivity for new or existing water industry devices. This chip-down RF solution connects smart water devices cost-effectively via Amazon Sidewalk, local (Bluetooth) and long-range (LoRa) connections to smartphones, tablets, and the AWS Cloud, utilising ST’s ultra-low power and wireless microcontrollers, STM32WBA52CGU6 & STM32WL55CCU6. “Our STM32 wireless devices, along with supporting tools and ecosystem software, have facilitated the development of an innovative water-metering solution for our client Subeca, acknowledged by this esteemed award,” commented Benoit Rodrigues, Wireless MCU Division General Manager at STMicroelectronics.
“We are immensely grateful to the IoT Global Awards 2024 judges for this recognition and are thrilled to have been selected as the winner in the Smart Cities, Government & Utilities category,” expressed Gennadiy Borisov, President and Co-CEO of Klika Tech.
“Klika became an integral part of our engineering team, providing a dedicated project manager and an expert team that guided us to our solution, delivered a custom firmware module, and met all our requirements,” shared Matthew Froncillo, Vice President of Engineering at Subeca.
The IoT Global Awards program aims to honour innovators, leaders, and visionaries worldwide across various IoT categories, including Industrial and Enterprise IoT, Smart City technology, Connected Home and Home Automation, Connected Car, among others. This year’s programme attracted thousands of nominations from companies around the world.
