Kerlink, a specialist in solutions dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT), received two LoRa Alliance awards at the IoT Solutions World Congress in Barcelona.
Presented by the LoRa Alliance, which Kerlink co-founded in 2015, the awards included:
- The Corporate Award recognises Kerlink’s active involvement in advancing the mission of the LoRa Alliance since its founding. Kerlink is honoured for its strong participation and voice in the Alliance, driving active engagement that impacts the broader IoT market
- The Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded to Julien Catalano, Deputy CTO, for his role in the development and promotion of the LoRaWAN specification and his long-standing commitment to collaboration within the global LoRaWAN ecosystem
Each year, the LoRa Alliance recognises individuals and companies whose leadership and commitment have played a pivotal role in advancing the LoRaWAN standard. These Contribution Awards highlight the essential work of members whose efforts continue to drive innovation and global adoption of LoRaWAN.
Julien Catalano also presented a forward-looking perspective on the evolution and future potential of LoRaWAN technology, in a session titled ‘New & Upcoming Technical Features for LoRaWAN’.
During the three-day event, Kerlink demonstrated how LoRaWAN enables scalable, low-power, and cost-effective solutions in smart city, smart agriculture, smart building and other critical IoT verticals, where it has installed more than 250,000 devices for more than 550 customers in 75 countries.
“In a short decade, the LoRa Alliance has worked with partners in the IoT value chain to install the IoT around the world, providing cities, governments, industries, businesses and homes with the benefits of this historic connectivity,” said Yannick Delibie, CTO and Co-Founder of Kerlink. “And the best news is, we are just getting started.”
“Our members are the heart and soul of our organisation,” said Alper Yegin, CEO of the LoRa Alliance. “It is an honour to recognise Kerlink and Julien’s contributions specifically, which have been instrumental in making LoRaWAN the leading connectivity technology for IoT. The Alliance offers its profound thanks to Kerlink for its ongoing support.”
These honours reflect not only individual achievements, but also Kerlink’s continued dedication to open standards and the deployment of interoperable IoT solutions worldwide.
