MAIRE, the Italian technology and engineering group focused on the energy transition, has adopted Exabeam’s New-Scale Security Operations Platform to modernise its global cybersecurity operations and improve analyst efficiency.
The move, part of a three-year effort to strengthen its cyber defences, replaces MAIRE’s previous legacy security information and event management (SIEM) system, which was primarily used for data ingestion across its Microsoft-based infrastructure.
The company’s Cyber Fusion Centre and Cyber Risk Operation Centre sought a more advanced system capable of automating investigations, correlating activity data, and improving visibility into user behaviour.
“When selecting Exabeam, we weren’t just looking for another traditional SIEM,” said Andrea Licciardi, Senior Cybersecurity Manager at Tecnimont Services, part of the MAIRE Group. “We needed a platform that could intelligently integrate artificial intelligence and automation to accelerate our detection and response capabilities.”
MAIRE’s deployment of Exabeam’s platform has enabled the company to centralise security operations, integrate with tools across the Microsoft ecosystem, and manage threat detection and case management within a single interface.
According to the company, the shift has cut the volume of alerts, improved response times, and allowed junior analysts to carry out more sophisticated investigations without supervision.
Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam, said MAIRE’s experience illustrated how AI-driven behavioural analytics could transform raw data into “precise, actionable intelligence”, allowing global infrastructure operators to respond more quickly to threats.
MAIRE plans to extend its use of Exabeam technology across additional internal and client-facing environments as it continues to develop its global cybersecurity posture.
Exabeam, based in California, provides AI-powered security operations and user behaviour analytics tools used by enterprises worldwide to automate threat detection and response.
