VOVO, the South Korean bathroom technology company, is preparing to introduce what it calls the world’s smartest toilet at CES 2026, as the sector for connected home devices extends into one of the last unmodernised rooms of the house.
The flagship model, the VOVO Smart Toilet NEO, has been named a CES 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree. Designed for families, seniors, and health-conscious consumers, the device combines wellness monitoring, safety features, and automated comfort functions in a single unit.
NEO’s defining feature is a built-in urine analysis sensor that delivers real-time readings on hydration and general wellbeing via a small wall-mounted display. The company says the system is intended to give households simple insights without changing daily routines. A secondary monitoring feature, branded “Jindo the Dog”, tracks inactivity; if an older resident has not used the toilet for more than 12 hours, the system sends an alert to designated contacts.
The unit includes a full bidet system with adjustable pressure, water temperature control, and an oscillating wash designed to support users with limited mobility. Touch-free operation comes as standard: the lid opens automatically, flushing is sensor-activated, and a wireless remote offers simple LED indicators for manual control. Energy-saving modes, a heated seat, a warm air dryer, and a self-cleaning nozzle system round out the specifications. The retail price is listed at USD 4,990.
VOVO argues that toilets are an overlooked source of health data and an important point of early warning for changes in daily behaviour. By capturing these “quiet signals”, it says NEO can provide reassurance for caregivers and additional safety for those living alone, while offering builders, designers, and hotels a route into higher-value smart bathroom installations.
Alongside NEO, VOVO will exhibit several complementary products at CES 2026, including the VOVO GO 9 portable bidet, the Airee non-spray deodorising system, and a full-body bathroom dryer called the Body Dryer.
Founded in 2001, VOVO began with a focus on premium bidet toilets and hygienic bathroom design. The company expanded across Asia before entering the United Kingdom and the United States, establishing VOVO USA in 2019. Its latest developments, the company says, reflect a long-standing ambition to make the bathroom as technologically advanced as the rest of the modern home.
