Bounteous x Accolite, a global consultancy specialising in digital transformation services, has entered into an agreement to utilise Nokia’s Network as Code platform and developer portal. This collaboration aims to create innovative use cases in sectors such as healthcare and gaming, leveraging the capabilities of 5G networks.
This partnership enhances the API ecosystem that Nokia is developing with operators, systems integrators, software developers, and hyperscalers globally. The objective is to tap into network capabilities and monetise network assets by creating new use cases for consumer, enterprise, and industrial customers.
The Network as Code platform integrates these stakeholders into a cohesive ecosystem, simplifying network complexities by abstracting them and providing developer-friendly interfaces. These interfaces allow developers to seamlessly deploy applications across various public and private networks.
Bounteous x Accolite’s developers will have access to operator networks via Software Development Kits (SDKs), network API documentation, a ‘sandbox’ for use case simulation and testing, and code snippets for integration into new applications. These tools enable developers to leverage network capabilities, such as on-demand quality of service (QoS), to create new use cases and add value for their customers.
Initially, Bounteous x Accolite and Nokia will focus on healthcare applications, such as enabling patients and hospitals to track ambulance locations, thereby improving response times in emergencies. Bounteous x Accolite operates across various industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, and media, enhancing customer online experiences with a broader range of products and service delivery.
Since its launch nearly a year ago, Nokia has entered collaboration agreements with 17 network operators and ecosystem partners across Europe, North and South America, and Asia to utilise the Network as Code platform.
“We are very pleased to start this journey with Nokia and to seize the growing opportunity of helping operators deliver greater value from their networks and Nokia’s Network as Code platform. This agreement is a testament to Bounteous x Accolite’s ongoing commitment to deliver the best digital experiences to customers through our engineering capabilities and partnership with innovative companies,” said Sanjeev Kumar, General Manager Telecom & Media, Bounteous x Accolite.
“We are thrilled to bring Bounteous x Accolite into the growing ecosystem of partners utilising network APIs. With its advanced technology solutions and developer capabilities, Bounteous x Accolite is well-placed to tap the valuable capabilities that 5G and 4G networks offer and create new forms of value for its customers,” added Shkumbin Hamiti, Head of Network Monetization Platform, Cloud and Network Services at Nokia.
