Taipei-based IBASE Technology has unveiled a compact, fanless Edge AI computer aimed at customers seeking energy-efficient, always-on computing in space-constrained environments.
The company said today that its new ASB200-962U system is designed for 24/7 Edge operations, as manufacturers, retailers, and transport operators increasingly deploy artificial intelligence closer to where data are generated. The device is powered by Intel Core Ultra 100U Series processors, which incorporate on-chip AI acceleration to support inference workloads without the need for discrete accelerators.
According to IBASE, the ASB200-962U balances computing performance with low power consumption, making it suitable for industrial and commercial settings where heat, noise, and maintenance must be kept to a minimum. The system uses a fanless thermal design, which the company says improves long-term reliability while enabling silent operation.
The computer supports up to 96GB of DDR5 memory and offers a range of input and output options to connect cameras, sensors, and other peripherals. Multiple M.2 slots allow customers to add NVMe storage, wireless connectivity, including Wi-Fi or 5G, and optional AI acceleration modules, giving system integrators flexibility to tailor configurations to specific use cases.
IBASE said the compact form factor and low energy requirements make the product suitable for smart manufacturing, automated retail, and intelligent transport applications, where equipment is often deployed in cabinets or other confined spaces. The company added that the system is optimised for real-time analytics, machine vision, and intelligent automation at the edge.
Founded in 2000, IBASE Technology designs and manufactures industrial PCs, embedded systems, and edge AI platforms, with production and quality control based in Taiwan. The company is listed on Taipei Exchange under the ticker 8050 and is a Prestige member of the Intel Partner Alliance.
