Dassault Systèmes and Mistral AI have expanded their partnership to offer integrated sovereign artificial intelligence services to European clients in tightly regulated sectors, amid rising demand for technologies that keep data and infrastructure within regional borders.
The move comes as a new study by Accenture found that European organisations are placing increasing emphasis on maintaining control over their data and digital infrastructure, with 62% seeking sovereign AI solutions in response to geopolitical uncertainty.
Under the agreement, Mistral AI’s latest products — its Le Chat Enterprise assistant and AI Studio platform — will be hosted on Dassault Systèmes’ OUTSCALE sovereign cloud. The companies said the arrangement will allow customers in industry and the public sector to deploy high-performance generative AI tools while meeting Europe’s stringent security, privacy, and compliance requirements. OUTSCALE is the first cloud provider to receive the highest level of security certification in Europe.
The partnership aims to address a key challenge facing European companies: how to industrialise AI without compromising confidentiality or intellectual property. Dassault Systèmes and Mistral AI said the integration will provide organisations with ready-to-use, interoperable models in a trusted environment, helping to automate tasks such as report writing, code generation, and content creation, while preserving data sovereignty.
Philippe Miltin, Chief Executive of OUTSCALE at Dassault Systèmes, said the strengthened partnership would “accelerate and widen the adoption of sovereign cloud for AI in Europe”, adding that regulated industries and the public sector require “full confidence” on issues of data security, transparency, control, and performance.
Mistral AI’s tools are available immediately through the OUTSCALE Marketplace, the company’s platform for cloud-based partner services. The announcement was made at the Adopt AI event in Paris on 27th November.
