Quectel has set out its ambitions for faster regional growth as it showcased a broad suite of Internet-of-Things technologies at the first edition of MWC Doha, an event intended to become the Middle East’s new hub for digital infrastructure and connectivity policy.
The Doha show, which evolves from the GSMA’s earlier M360 MENA series, forms part of Qatar’s push to advance its National Vision 2030 by convening senior figures in 5G, smart-city development, and emerging technologies.
Quectel, a China-based provider of end-to-end IoT hardware and services, used the event to underline its role in supplying components for the region’s expanding digital economy. The company displayed an extensive portfolio, including single-board computers, 5G, GNSS, satellite and short-range modules, and a broad line-up of embedded and external antennas. It said the ecosystem is aimed at helping enterprises, developers, and public-sector bodies scale connected devices more efficiently as Gulf states pursue next-generation networks and urban modernisation programmes.
The group was joined on its stand by Ikotek, an IoT original design manufacturer, and Acceleronix, a development-to-deployment solutions provider. Both partners presented new products and offered support for customers seeking ODM services, device engineering, and field roll-outs.
“MWC Doha represents an exciting milestone for the region, and we are proud to be part of an event that so strongly reflects Qatar’s commitment to a digital-first future,” said Jaron Xu, Quectel’s Chief Sales Officer. He added that expanding 5G networks and accelerating smart-city projects were creating conditions in which Quectel, together with its partners, could help customers deploy connected systems at scale, cost-effectively, and with reduced time to market.
Quectel employs more than 5,800 people worldwide and offers modules, antennas, and turnkey IoT services across cellular, GNSS, satellite, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies.
