Productronica China is set to return to Shanghai from 25th to 27th March 2026, underscoring the city’s role as a focal point for Asia’s electronics manufacturing industry.
The exhibition will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, spanning Halls E1 to E5 and W1 to W4, and is expected to cover almost 100,000 square metres. Organisers expect more than 1,000 exhibitors to take part, reflecting the breadth of the regional electronics manufacturing supply chain.
The event aims to combine technology showcases with commercial exchange, positioning itself as a one-stop platform for manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers across Asia.
Visitor registration has opened and the 2026 floor plan has also been released. Exhibits will range from component manufacturing, testing and measurement, and quality assurance, to surface mount technology, electronics manufacturing services, automated assembly, robotics, intelligent warehousing, sensor technology, and motion control. New energy vehicle technologies, including inspection systems and automotive industrial control solutions, will form a significant part of the display.
A central theme for 2026 will be the “dual carbon” agenda, reflecting China’s broader policy direction. Dedicated zones will focus on new energy and automotive electronics, covering areas such as NEV inspection technology, automotive PLC systems, wiring harness processing, connector manufacturing, and electronic adhesive innovations. Organisers say these sections are intended to help companies identify growth opportunities linked to decarbonisation and electrification.
Another highlight will be the smart factory showcase, centred on intelligent surface mount technology production. Live demonstrations will present the full manufacturing process, from raw materials through SMT, DIP, inspection, testing, cleaning, and packaging, offering visitors a view of how digitalisation and automation are reshaping productivity, quality control, and customisation.
The exhibition is also targeting a broad international audience. Buyers from sectors including industrial, automotive, consumer, medical, communications, aerospace, and new energy electronics are expected to attend, creating opportunities for cross-border sourcing and collaboration.
New product launches will remain a key feature, with a dedicated platform for exhibitors to present innovations in intelligent electronic manufacturing. Alongside the exhibition, a programme of forums, technical competitions, and award ceremonies will address themes such as flexible smart manufacturing, NEV electronics under the dual carbon framework, and the convergence of NEVs, AIoT, and 5G in advanced packaging and industrial upgrading.
With its scale and thematic focus, productronica China 2026 is positioning itself as a barometer of where Asia’s electronics manufacturing industry is heading, and a marketplace for the technologies shaping its next phase of growth.
