SEALSQ to participate in CEATEC and showcase Matter secure chip

SEALSQ to showcase secure Matter chip at CEATEC 2024

SEALSQ, a company specialising in the development and sale of semiconductors, PKI, and post-quantum technology hardware and software products, has announced its participation in the CEATEC 2024 event in Chiba, Japan, 15-18 October 2024. The event will serve as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge digital innovations.

As a founding member of the Japanese branch of the Alliance, which develops global IoT and smart home standards like Matter and Aliro, SEALSQ will co-exhibit at the Japan Smart Home Exhibition. SEALSQ’s Japanese team, led by Sales Director Katsunori Miyahata, will present the new VaultIC292 Secure Element, pre-provisioned with certificates and keys for Matter connectivity. The chip will be displayed within a new module designed for home automation, which will be marketed in Japan by SEALSQ’s client, Hosiden, a major Japanese electronic components company. The VaultIC292 secures the Device Attestation Certificate for the module, with the Matter stack operating over Thread connectivity.

SEALSQ solution benefits

Device manufacturers in Japan compliant with Matter standards can benefit from SEALSQ’s Matter-ready PKI-as-a-Service and pre-provisioned secure elements in the following ways:

“We are excited to support the Alliance development in Japan and join this exhibition together to facilitate the adoption and scaling of Matter for Japanese smart-home device manufacturers. It is an inspiring example to showcase our products already integrated in new designs specifically created for Smart Home use-cases like the one developed by HOSIDEN,” said Franck Buonanno, VP of Sales at SEALSQ.
