Compex Systems releases Wi-Fi 7 module connecting through Ethernet

Compex Systems has launched JustWiFi⁷: a driverless, tri-band concurrent Wi-Fi 7 module that connects through Ethernet procotols. It is engineered to eliminate the complexity of traditional wireless integration, making high-performance Wi-Fi deployment faster, simpler, and smarter.

Most of the Wi-Fi modules today rely on PCIe, SDIO or USB, causing developers to deal with kernel-specific drivers, host-side firmware synchronisation, host platform’s power management, and complex RF configurations. These dependencies can slow down and complicate the development.

Compex’s JustWiFi⁷ breaks away from convetional Wi-Fi module design: by connecting via Ethernet protocols over USB-C 3.2 cable, the host treats the module as an Ethernet port. All Wi-Fi processes such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO) happen inside the module. This dramatically reduces software integration such as the need for kernel-specific driver or host-side firmware, while expanding cross-platform compatibility from Intel x86 to ARM-based System on a chip from NXP to Marvell.

Powered by Qualcomm’s IPQ5322 Quad-Core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz ‘Miami’ SOC and QCN6274 ‘Waikiki’ radio chipset, Compex JustWiFi⁷ delivers true concurrent tri-band connectivity across 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz in a board about the size of two standard Mini PCIe adapters.

The connection to the host CPU is through Ethernet protocols at 10Gbps over USB-C 3.2 cable. With MLO support, JustWiFi⁷ facilitates better throughput and low-latency performance, even on non-Qualcomm hosts, making it well suited for industrial, IoT and embedded systems. Whether you’re developing network appliances, smart devices, Edge computing or enterprise solutions, JustWiFi⁷ simplifies your wireless design while unlocking the full potential of Wi-Fi 7 capabilities.

“JustWiFi⁷ is more than a product; it’s a step forward,” said, Jonathan Ho, Managing Director of Compex Systems. “We’re giving developers and businesses a way to bring powerful Wi-Fi 7 solutions to market faster without the usual complications.”
