Matter is an innovative, open-source, and royalty-free smart home connectivity standard that guarantees secure and reliable connections between smart home devices and popular ecosystems. By offering a universal standard, it aims to simplify the development and compatibility of IoT devices, facilitating seamless interoperability across various brands and platforms. Matter aspires to be the go-to connectivity standard for smart homes, transforming the user experience by reducing IoT complexity and enhancing interoperability.
Webinar attendees will learn about:
- The various certificates and security measures applicable to the Matter protocol
- Infineon’s latest Matter-specific solutions, such as the OPTIGA Trust M MTR. This discrete security solution, combined with a certified Matter provisioning service, is compatible with any MCU or SoC, enabling secure Matter integration across diverse IoT designs. The webinar will cover numerous use cases and related provisioning services within Matter
- Building a Matter device using Infineon components, including:
- The PSoC 6 microcontroller, designed for high-performance IoT applications. It features ultra-low power operation, integrated security functions, and a range of connectivity and peripherals, including capacitive sensing
- Infineon’s communication modules offering dual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity on a single chip
- Infineon’s Matter over Thread modules, which improve smart device performance by ensuring seamless interoperability and end-to-end encrypted communication within a Matter network
