LattePanda launches LattePanda Mu – a Micro x86 Compute Module for custom design solutions 

The LattePanda team launched the LattePanda Mu, an outstanding micro x86 compute module set to swiftly empower custom design solutions. Featuring an Intel N100 CPU, it is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems. The LattePanda Mu offers superior CPU performance compared to the Raspberry Pi 5 and excels in GPU capabilities, ensuring seamless operation for complex computational tasks and demanding applications. With its compact form factor, measuring 69.6mm x 60mm, the LattePanda Mu integrates seamlessly into various applications, including IoT, robotics, digital signage, and Edge computing, ensuring efficient task handling and reliable performance across different scenarios.

LattePanda Mu – a Micro x86 Compute Module fits unique solutions

A key feature of the LattePanda Mu is its customisability. Users can design carrier boards to meet specific functional requirements, such as creating a dual-Ethernet port board for a router or providing a SATA interface for a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) solution. Additionally, with up to nine PCIe 3.0 lanes, the LattePanda Mu can be equipped with a dedicated graphics card for more demanding applications or expanded with a high-performance NIC to build a computing cluster.

The LattePanda Mu offers an adjustable TDP range of 6W to 35W, catering to diverse applications and performance demands. This compute module enables users to design and integrate custom carrier boards, offering an extensive array of interfaces, including three HDMI/DisplayPort ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, up to four USB 3.2 ports, and nine PCIe 3.0 lanes.

The LattePanda Mu provides open-source carrier board designs and libraries in KiCAD format as reference materials, accessible for download from its GitHub repository. This facilitates developers in making necessary modifications and refinements, significantly reducing development time. By integrating the most intricate components, the LattePanda Mu allows users to design simpler elements. Moreover, customisation services cater to various specialised requirements, enabling users to fully utilise the LattePanda Mu and achieve exceptional results.
